Marjolein Lem

Marjolein Lem is an experienced business consultant and innovation leader with a passion for sustainability, international development, and languages. As Program Director for Innovation at DS Smith, a global leader in the paper and packaging industry, Marjolein is responsible for developing reusable fiber-based packaging solutions and systems. Before joining DS Smith in 2018, she worked for 13 years at Berenschot, a Dutch consulting firm. As a consultant, she advised government organizations, non-governmental organizations, and private companies alike on how to successfully run programs and business activities in emerging markets and developing countries – she worked and lived around the globe. Marjolein holds a Master's degree in International Economics and an Executive MBA. She is a co-author of a management book on business operations in sub-Saharan Africa. She aims to use her innovative perspective to advance adaptations to climate change.
