Service Description

Climate Adaptation: The Culture of Getting More Resilient As the realities of climate change become increasingly undeniable, there is a growing recognition that mitigation alone is no longer a sufficient response. While efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions remain critical, it is becoming equally clear that adaptation—adjusting our systems, processes, and cultures to the new climate reality—is essential for long-term resilience. Organizations around the world are starting to understand that to thrive in the face of climate challenges, they need to go beyond mitigation and actively engage in adaptation strategies. This shift requires not just technological solutions or policy changes, but a deep cultural transformation within organizations. Adapting to climate change involves more than just physical adjustments; it calls for a fundamental shift in how organizations think, plan, collaborate and operate. This means fostering a culture that is open for new solutions, forward-thinking, and resilient—one that can anticipate challenges, understand the climate realities, and turn them into opportunities for growth and innovation. Especially the cross-sector collaboration between all actors is a source of innovation for resilience. In our upcoming roundtable, we will explore how to cultivate such a culture of resilience. We will discuss the vital role of leadership in driving adaptation efforts, the importance of engaging employees at all levels, and how to overcome the barriers (also personal ones) to cultural change. Through these discussions, we aim to empower organizations to embrace adaptation as a core component of their climate strategy, ensuring they are prepared not just to survive but to thrive in an ever-changing world. • Laureline Simon, Founder & Executive Director of One Resilient Earth • Kerstin Pfliegner, Partner Climate Risk; EMEA LEAD Nature & Water at ERM • Moderated by Daniel Schmitz-Remberg, Founder of THE SHIFT conference and DSR&Partners – The climate adaptation advisors Welcome drink (Café Anna Blume Spritz) and water during the event included
